The Football

Watching football at Forest Green Rovers is a little different to anywhere else. Our stadium, The New Lawn, is perched on a hill in the middle of the beautiful Cotswold countryside – in fact, it’s actually situated at one of the highest altitudes in English football.

FIFA has called us the greenest football club in the world. There are lots of reasons for that – the solar panels on our roof, the solar powered robot lawnmower, the rainwater recycling system beneath the pitch, and the eco trail around the ground. In terms of the football itself though, we play on a fully organic pitch – which means there are no pesticides on our grass whatsoever.

We like to play good football too. We were previously the longest serving member of the National League – and we’d been fighting it out in that league since 1998. But after three successive top-five finishes and two play-off finals, we made it to the Football League in 2017. We’re a League Two club now, and we’ve got big ambitions to climb the leagues.

If you’d like to come and watch a match at The New Lawn, you can find ticket prices here.

The Facilities

Away fans are invited to watch the match from our West Terrace (standing only), which can hold up to 975 people.

The West Terrace is an uncovered standing terrace at the moment - we have plans to create a covered seating area, but it won't be ready in time for your arrival unfortuantely.

That said, we'd advise fans to bring appropriate clothing in case of inclement weather - particularly as The New Lawn is on top of a hill and is exposed to the elements.

On arrival, all away supporters will be welcomed into the stadium via the West Terrace turnstiles, numbers nine and ten.

For away supporters who required Wheelchair accessible seating, there are a very limited number available in our East Stand.

We've tried to make finding the club as easy as possible with our stadium finder.

The best way to visit The New Lawn by car for a game is to use our Park and Ride service which is runs from local company Renishaw. With over 200 spaces that costs just £5 per car, it's the only way to guarentee a parking space hassle free.

This service can be found at Renishaw, Stroud Road, Nailsworth, GL5 5EY and usually operates 3 hours before kick off with coaches travelling from the car park to the ground before and after kick off.

Please note that the Park and Ride service won't be available for our matches against Carlisle (23rd December) and Wycombe (1st January).

There is a small section of parking at The New Lawn and at Nailsworth School opposite the ground, but you have to get here pretty early to grab a spot – we’re a bit limited for space. It also costs just £5 to park in the stadium grounds.

If you want to avoid any parking costs, you can park in the centre of Nailsworth for free – but we’re at the top of a very steep hill, so only the fit and healthy should take on the fifteen-minute walk from town up to the ground. Generally, we advise away fans to travel by supporters’ coach or by public transport – that’s better for the environment too.

For supporters that choose to park in the local residential areas, we would please request you park with consideration for our neighbours and adhere to local parking enforcement.

The Food

We’re the world's first vegan football club, so you’ll get a very different food experience here at The New Lawn – and we think you’ll love it.

Instead of stodgy meat pies and chips, you’ll get freshly made fajitas, veggie burgers and our signature dish, the Q-Pie, a vegan pie made using leek and Quorn ingredients.

The food is delicious – and it’s healthy too. We won ‘Menu of the Year’ last year, and our Q-Pie even made the top three in the 2017 British Pie Awards.

And if you want something to drink with it, even the beer and cider we sell is vegan.
