Frenchman Fabien Robert became a Forest Green Rovers recruit in August 2016 when Mark Cooper swooped to add his signature to his squad.
The creative midfielder has appeared at the highest level in France in Ligue 1 for Lorient where he came through the Brittany club's youth system.
He featured over 40 times for their first team, playing against the likes of Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.
As well as playing for Lorient's second string side, and Championnat National outfit Boulogne, Robert got his first taste of English football in 2012 when he moved on loan to Doncaster Rovers.
He appeared 13 times in the Championship for Donny, scoring in games against the likes of Ipswich Town and Portsmouth.
In 2015 he returned to the English game when he joined Swindon under the management of Mark Cooper. He spent one year at the County Ground where he was a regular member of the squad.
After time spent on trial with Coventry City in pre-season, he joined FGR on the eve of the new season, making his debut on the opening day as a substitute at Boreham Wood.
He has presented France internationally at under 21 and under 20 level alongside the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and current Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
