Forest Green Rovers acquired the services of talented striker Rhys Murphy in the summer of 2016 when the former Arsenal youngster joined the club from Oldham Athletic.
An excellent finisher who has a good goal scoring record in the Football League, he began his career at Arsenal where he helped the Gunners' youth team win the Premier Academy League in 2009.
In his time in London he was sent out on loan to Brentford and Preston North End, but eventually left permanently to join Dutch outfit Telstar.
A return to the English game in 2013 saw him sign for Dagenham & Redbridge where after two seasons he secured a move to League One Oldham.
The Latics paid a fee for his services and he spent the 2015-16 season as part of their squad but also had two successful loan spells in League Two with Crawley Town and AFC Wimbledon - the latter ending in being a substitute for their League Two play-off final success at Wembley.
He has also played internationally for England up to under 19 level and was part of the Three Lions squad that reached the 2009 UEFA European under-19s Championships final - alongside the likes of Danny Drinkwater, Kyle Walker and Andros Townsend.
