Dan Wishart

Daniel Wishart joined Forest Green Rovers from National League counterparts Sutton United in October 2016.

He is a powerful left back who likes to get forward and add to the team's attacking presence down the left hand side.

An England C international, having helped Sutton gain promotion to the fifth tier his excellent form persuaded Rovers boss Mark Cooper to make a move to bring him to The New Lawn.

He began his career in non-league with Hayes & Yeading United where from an early age he gained useful experience at National League level.

After a number of seasons with the London club he earned a move to Alfreton Town, who paid an undisclosed fee to secure his services.

He eventually returned to Hayes & Yeading, but midway through the 2014-15 campaign was recruited by an ambitious Sutton outfit who he helped earn promotion as National League South winners the following season.

Having caught the eye of a number of teams at a higher level, his positive start to life back in the fifth tier was enough to persuade FGR to bring him in, and he made his debut shortly after signing in a 4-0 away win over Aldershot Town.
