Former Watford defender Dale Bennett is one of the longest serving members of the squad at Forest Green.
Originally brought to the club as a central defender, he has also fulfilled a right back role to great effect in his time wearing the FGR colours.
His pace and enthusiasm make him a great player to watch, and he has fantastic pedigree having made over 20 appearances in the Championship having come through the youth system at Watford.
The Hornets actually loaned him out for his first taste of senior football in the fifth tier in the 2008-09 campaign to Kettering Town. He had earlier made his Watford debut in a League Cup victory over West Ham United.
His Football League debut for Watford came in a 1-0 win over Barnsley, and he gained further experience in the League with two loan spells at Brentford, as well as time spent at AFC Wimbledon.
In January 2013, Bennett moved to FGR during the transfer window, and he made his debut in February 2013 as a substitute in an away draw at Luton Town.
Over the past few seasons he's made his mark on the squad at The New Lawn and his name is very rarely not on the team sheet.
He scored his first goal for the club with a dramatic last minute equaliser in a home tie with Lincoln City in November 2014.
After signing a contract extension to stay at The New Lawn for the 2015-16 National League campaign, big things are expected of him this season as the club go in search of promotion to League Two.
