Yan Klukowski

Yan Klukowski began his career as an 18-year-old with Bath City and by earning international honours as an England schoolboy but despite interest from Football League clubs in England, Yan moved to the USA to begin a scholarship at Central Connecticut State University in what proved to be a very successful period for the excellent set piece taker.

He earned the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year award in his first year in America and was part of the Great Britain University team that competed in the World Championships in Thailand in 2006.

Yan had brief spells in the States with professional outfits Ottawa Fury and Western Mass Pioneers before returning to England at the end of his scholarship to join Forest Green in July 2010 after impressing on trial in pre season.

Klukoswki starred for Forest Green in the 2011-12 season, finishing as the highest scoring  midfielder in the league (and FGR golden boot winner) after finding the back of the net 18 times; and again hit double figures last season with 12 goals and 10 assists.
