We offer cheaper away travel, social events, communication through Forest Focus, a voice in the football club and funding for the ladies and youth teams.

Our Board meets every month at 6.30pm on the first Thursday at the Stadium. All are welcome. For season 2017-18, the Board comprises:

Chair: Ian Crawley; Secretary: Neil Munro; Treasurer: RichardGray; Supporter/FGR Director: Martin Williams; Phil Butterworth, who is also the FGR Vice-Chairman, Ron Oswell, Phil Doble; Ben Scott; George Waring; Tim Barnard.

The Supporters Club  exists to:

1. Be the democratic and representative voice of the supporters of the Club and strengthen the bonds between the Club and the communities which it serves;

2. Achieve the greatest possible supporter and community influence in the running and ownership of the Club;

3. Operate democratically, fairly, sustainably, transparently and with financial responsibility and encouraging the Club to do the same;

4. Be a positive, inclusive and representative organisation, open and accessible to all supporters of the Club regardless of their age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality or religious or moral belief.

5. Raise money to be spent in such a way as to promote the aims and objectives of the society for the benefit of the community and all supporters of Forest Green Rovers.

6. Provide an away travel service.

7. Work with the club to build supporter numbers and improve the matchday experience for all supporters, both home and away, at The New Lawn.

8. Maintain a shareholding in the football club and increase it as the need and opportunity arise.

In season 2017/18 we are particularly focusing on :

  • The New Lawn matchday experience for both home and away fans. We are keen to get the West Stand improved as soon as practically possible with covered seating and standing; improved catering facilities and a wider food offer around the ground; a new South Stand covered bar and food  area with seating.
  • The pricing and availability of tickets for home and away matches. We continue to work with the Club to establish new ways of getting new FGR FC supporters and more supporters to more games.
  • Away coach travel - its promotion, pricing and comfort.  Following the success last season of a second coach for Ambassadors and their parents to one away match, three are planned this season.
  • The future of the football club at Junction 13 of the M5- particularly access to and facilities for supporters at the proposed new stadium.  We have, and will continue to formally support, the planning application for the new stadium.

How did it all start ?

Towards the end of the Second World War a small committee was formed to raise funds to welcome home Forest Green service personnel - it was called The Forest Green Welcome Home Fund. The main officers were: Chairman: W. G. (Billy) Guy, Secretary: S. B. (Stan) White, Treasurer: A. H. (Bert) Russell. When the war ended and with it the need of the Welcome Home Committee, Billy Guy said: "What can we do now - I know, let's try to raise money to help the 'Rovers' - Forest Green Rovers Supporters Club was born".

When the former Chairman and majority owner, Trevor Horsley, who built the New Lawn Stadium offered shares in the football club, a Supporters Trust was formed to buy and hold shares. The Supporters Club and the Trust merged in 2015.
