First game of seaon see's Green Army face a loss.
Forest Green ladies slumped to a 3 –0 opening league defeat at the hands of a strong Havant ladies team.
The Forest Ladies were the better side in the first half and controlled large parts of the game. Charlote King had the best chance of the half after she ran on to a through ball and her shot hit the cross bar and the post before dropping into a somewhat relieved Havant goalkeepers hands.
The second half saw Havant come out with a positive attitude and a strong will to win, putting pressure on the forest green defence. Ten minutes into the second half Forest failed to deal with a cross that dropped into the area after having several chance s to do so and the Havant striker (Nkomo) pounced on their indecision and struck a vicious shot into the top corner. Havant now in rampant mode continued to mount attack after attack and added a second on the sixtieth minute, moving the ball wide and quick passing saw winger (Cheshire) in on goal to side foot past forest goalkeeper who had little chance. 2 minutes later Havant made it 3 – 0 after Forest Green failed to clear a corner and the ball fell to (Nkomo) who taped the ball in from close range.
