Magno Vieira


Brazilian forward Magno Vieira is in his third year with Forest Green after joining the club from Fleetwood Town in the summer of 2012.

Having moved to England, Vieira started his career in the UK at Wigan Athletic however he never made a senior appearance for the Latics.

Instead he had loan spells at Northampton Town and Carlisle United. When with Northampton

While in a long-term loan move to Carlisle he became a fans hero, helping the Cumbrians earn promotion to the Football League. He scored on his debut against Rovers as well as a hat-trick in a 5-0 away demolition of Aldershot Town.

In 2006 he made the step up to the Football League when he signed for Barnet and he spent a season with the Bees, scoring in a League Cup defeat at Leeds United’s Elland Road.

He joined Crawley Town, and had a short loan at Cambridge United, and then signed for Wycombe Wanderers in 2008. He scored two goals for Wycombe, both coming in a hammering of Macclesfield Town, in 14 league appearances.
