Kieron Forbes

Midfielder

Fans favourite Kieron Forbes is one of the most entertaining members of Forest Green’s squad and the former Watford scholar has seen his impressive performances for the club earn him a place in the England C team squad.

The creative midfielder joined Forest Green for an undisclosed fee in December 2010 from Isthmian Premier Division side Wealdstone where in just a couple of seasons he starred in the London clubs midfield.

He began his career working under Dave Hockaday in the Watford academy and made his first senior appearance for the Vicarage Road outfit in August 2007 as a substitute in a League Cup tie against Gillingham.

After leaving Watford he joined Wealdstone where he was part of the side that batted to reach the second round of the FA Cup in 2009, eventually losing to Football League side Rotherham United.

And it was almost a year later that Forest Green’s terrific scouting system targeted Kieron with the opportunity to return to full time football proving to be a key factor in bringing him to The New Lawn.

His impressive performances with Rovers earned him a call up to the England C team for their international with Italy in February 2012 and he also earned an extended contract keeping him at the club until the end of the 2012-13 season.
