Jared Hodgkiss

Defender

Jared Hodgkiss is the ultimate professional and the former West Bromich Albion full back proved his worth to Rovers last season playing in every minute of every game for the first team.

Jared is currently the longest serving member of Forest Green’s squad and made his 100th league appearance for the club on the final day of last season against York City after originally joining the club in October 2009.

He made his senior debut having come through the ranks at West Brom for the Baggies in an FA Cup third round tie against Reading in January 2006 and went on to make his Premier League debut as a 63rd minute substitute at Goodison Park against Everton later that season.

After signing an extended contract at the Hawthorns, Jared made his full league debut the following season against Leicester City and was made reserve team skipper at the club.

He then spent time on loan at Scottish Premier League Aberdeen and at Northampton Town in the Football League but was released by West Brom at the end of the 2008-09 season.

After a brief spell building up his fitness at Market Drayton Town, Jared arrived at The New Lawn as one of manager Dave Hockaday’s first signings and he has gone on to earn the plaudits of the Rovers supporters with his consistent performances.
