Jamie Turley
Defender
Jamie Turley’s fantastic performances in his first season at Forest Green earned him international recognition with call ups in to the England C team illustrating how his consistent displays ranks him among the best central defenders in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Jamie began his career in the Football League with Wycombe Wanderers but without making a senior appearance he moved in to the non league game, linking up with Salisbury City.
Despite his young age, Jamie impressed hugely in non league football’s top flight with Salisbury but was part of the Whites team that were demoted two divisions over issues arising from their entry into administration.
He stayed loyal to Salisbury and helped the Wiltshire club to promotion through the Southern Premier Division play offs with a call from Forest Green soon to follow.
He signed a two year deal at The New Lawn in June 2011and formed a formidable central defensive partnership with fellow England C international Eddie Oshodi last season, making 39 league appearances and scoring twice.
