Kids Go Free
In line with the Club Charter, Forest Green Rovers are very committed to supporting and promoting football in the community.
After the Club moved to its current location at the New Lawn, a decision was taken to encourage as many of our local youngsters as possible to enjoy the game of football and we now have a growing programme of games where children under the age of 16 years can watch selected Rovers matches free of charge.
It is a requirement that any child under 16 years old is accompanied by a responsible paying adult, maximum of 2 children per adult, and this seems to work extremely well. There is a separate seated Family Area set aside for those who might require it.
In addition, and to increase the value of the experience for families, we also aim to provide some form of pre match or half time entertainment, i.e. penalty shoot outs or mini matches and these have proved very popular with fans of all ages. For season 2009/10 we are looking to support a local group of Cheerleaders/Dance Group and we anticipate they will perform at selected matches.
We hope that families will continue to support the initiative and spread the word amongst family and friends.
